Yellow Chromate Coatings - Alocrom 1200, Iridite 14-2

Yellow chromate coatings have excellent corrosion resistance for both painted and unpainted aluminium surfaces. The coating is flexible and will withstand bending and denting of the surfaces.It will give excellent paint adhesion to the aluminium surface. The coating has low electrical resistance, less than 5000 micro-ohms per square inch measured under an applied electrode pressure of 200 pounds per square inch.This process is preferable for high silicon pressure diecastings.

Yellow chromate coatings are approved to DEF STAN 03-18/3 (including special approval for repairing damaged anodic coatings) and to MIL-C-5541.

Yellow chromate coatings are NOT suitable for producing colour matching decorative coatings.This process should not be used to treat foodstuff containers.
